Organisers needed - meeting Thurs 27th January 12pm

To make A Day in the Life of Deniliquin a success, we need some willing helpers. If you have a few hours to spare, come along to our first meeting on:

Thursday 27th January, 12 noon
Peppin Heritage Centre, George St, Deniliquin

The project has several facets and you may feel you can help with one aspect of it or another. Here's a quick outline of the different priorities:

School and community workshops with a photographic artist (Mid-late February)

The 'day' on 9th March - we need to:
  • promote the day when everyone will take photos,
  • sort out the details of what, how, where and when,
  • hold some information sessions for participants and then
  • collect the images.
Exhibitions - we will have three 'exhibitions:
  • a website with a selection of images from all three days
  • giant street art prints displayed around town
  • projections of images, either indoor or outdoor (or possibly both)
If any of these things interest you or you just want to make sure this project happens, then get in touch and come along to the meeting. It might be a great way for you to get some experience with event management, exhibitions or websites. Even if you can just spare a few hours to distribute posters, it will be much appreciated.
